Jorge Rodríguez: We need to recover the institutionality of the AN that Guaidó destroyed

The Vice President for Communication, Tourism and Culture, Jorge Rodríguez, pointed out this Sunday that it is important and necessary to recover the institutionality of the National Assembly (AN), destroyed by oppositionist Juan Guaidó:

«Guaidó destroyed the Assembly as an institution. They surpassed their parents from the Fourth Republic. The corruption is impressive. It has been heard from the Guaidó environment saying that there are a billion dollars that «are out there real easy to see what we do with them», said Rodríguez in the program «Aquí con Ernesto» (Here with Ernesto), hosted by journalist and Minister for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, and broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión.

He added: «We are going to fight to win the elections on December 6. I think the disaster of the National Assembly has been such (…) that even Guaidó’s bodyguards have been caught by surprise trying to sell seized weapons».

On the other hand, he said that the parliamentary elections of December 6 will be the elections with the highest participation that the country will have, with 107 political parties registered for said process.

Rodríguez also talked about the alliance of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela with other leftist organizations such as the Communist Party and Patria Para Todos. He said that from the qualitative point of view, a large bloc is necessary for the parliamentary elections.

However, the vice president wondered: «How is it that a party that claims to be left wing and revolutionary, acts as a fifth column?» This was pointed out by some opinions issued by the leaders of the aforementioned parties.

Jorge Rodríguez also stated that President Nicolás Maduro has been the target of various attacks “because he has maintained his dignity. We are an example of dignity».
