Venezuela confirms eight new coronavirus cases and 110 recovered

The vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, confirmed on Monday eight new positive cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), and the number of those infected by the pandemic already amounts to 189.

After finishing the meeting of the Presidential Commission for the Prevention of Covid-19, Rodríguez reported that, of the new cases, five are located in Miranda state, one in the Capital District, one in Aragua state and another in Trujillo state.

He also detailed that 110 people out of 189 infected by Covid-19 have recovered, which translates into 58% of cases nationwide.

With these figures Venezuela reaches 189 cases nationwide, maintaining its flat curve, since the first cases were diagnosed on March 13, and so the call to comply with the social quarantine is important to prevent the spread of the virus in the country, Rodríguez reiterated.
