Maduro signed a decree of obligation to natural and legal persons for registration in Petro

A decree by means of which natural and legal persons are instructed on the obligatory nature of the registration, information and economic accountable facts expressed in sovereign crypto assets, without prejudice to their registration in bolivars, was signed on Wednesday by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
The signature was stamped by the Venezuelan head of state in the document from the headquarters of the Bank of Venezuela (BDV) where he inaugurated the first Petro cashier office.
In this regard, the Vice President for Economy, Tareck El Aissami, explained the scope of this decree, whereby “all natural persons, public and private companies must keep double accounts, in Bolivars and Petro”.
The cryptocurrency “becomes a legal accounting registry”, said the Vice President.
This will allow “to give the real value to the goods in Venezuela, to the apartments, to the houses, the vehicles and the motorcycles”, and “that will have a legal accountable record in all the dependencies”, added El Aissami.
He indicated that, from now on, an invoice issued in any establishment must have its expression in bolivars, and if it is charged in Petro, it must have its expression in Petro.
“It becomes a legal accounting for the entire national economy”, he said in the company of President Nicolás Maduro.
