Venezuela discards this Tuesday any new Covid-19 cases

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, on Tuesday ruled out any new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), keeping 329 detected cases, and 142 patients recovered.

During a telephone contact with the Presidential Commission for the Prevention of Covid-19 that met at Miraflores Palace, Caracas, the National President explained that, of the active cases, 89 patients are in hospitals, 64 in Integral Diagnostic Centers (CDI) and 24 in private clinics, and the number of deceased remains at 10.

For his part, the Minister for Communication and Information, Jorge Rodríguez, reported that Venezuela is above 15,500 tests per million inhabitants. With these figures, it is the country in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the fewest cases of Covid-19 in the region.
