The Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza criticized the Government of the United States (USA) for its double standards regarding the Latin American nation. The diplomat said that the administration of Donald Trump steals millions of dollars in assets and imposes a financial blockade, but at the same time uses a speech of false concern regarding Venezuelans:
“False! The US government steals billions of dollars of Venezuelan assets, blocks even more billions in international banks, disowns the UN Humanitarian Assistance Plan and pretends to believe that it cares about Venezuelans”, he said on Twitter.
This reaction was triggered by a document published by the United States Department of State announcing an alleged “additional humanitarian assistance” for Venezuela.
Likewise, the United States affirmed that it will continue “supporting” the people of Venezuela during the supposed “humanitarian crisis”, a term that has imposed the local and international right wing and the hegemonic media to sustain the economic, political and diplomatic aggressions against the South American nation.
