The Chancellor of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza, highlighted on Monday the relevance of the article published on the Noticias digital site about the progress of the Great Mission Housing Venezuela (GMVV) with the delivery of the landmark of 2,700,000 worthy homes to the people, despite the onslaughts by the United States Government (USA) against the economy of the nation.

«As Washington intensifies the economic blockade against Caracas, the Bolivarian government continues with the social programs and achieves significant successes», stresses the note by RT, which quotes figures from the Ministry of People’s Power for Housing and Habitat that reveal that during the managements of Commander Hugo Chávez and that of president, Nicolás Maduro, have been built more than 2.7 million homes, and 37% of them have been built under the self-construction modality.
«Spokesmen of the popular movements consider that building houses in this way also involves rethinking the city and empowering organized communities», refers the note.
It explains that 53% of the land on which these homes were built were public. 47% were private.
In statements to RT, the Minister of People’s Power for Housing and Habitat, Ildemaro Villarroel, explained how is the procedure for the granting of land for self-construction in urban and peri-urban areas:
«Spokesmen of the Government affirm that in spite of the serious effects they assure has caused the blockade of the United States against the nation, will be achieved the goal of delivering 500,000 houses this year alone. In doing so, 3 million families will have received a home in the last 9 years», adds the publication.
