The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, led a productive work day on Tuesday, where he made several announcements that will boost production in different areas to overcome the economic war and the blockade imposed by the American empire on the country and thereby guarantee the feeding of the people.
As part of the 2019 winter planting plan, by the end of this month, will be delivered inputs to the cereal producing states in the rice, corn, sorghum, and soybean sectors and gradually add thousands of additional hectares to complete the quota required by Venezuela to overcome the rentier model:
“30,000 additional hectares in Monagas and Anzoategui states, 20,000 in Guárico state, 40,000 in Bolívar state to complete the 350,000 hectares of white corn that the country needs. Also, we have to complete 60,000 hectares of soybean between Anzoátegui, Monagas and Portuguesa states”, he reported from Miraflores Palace.
He also urged to complete the planting of 65,000 hectares of sorghum (from which a cereal of the same name similar to the grain of corn is obtained) between Guárico, Portuguesa and the plains of Anzoátegui states, and 16,000 hectares in Monagas and Delta Amacuro states.
The Head of State, in addition, informed that, with the goal to advance in the National Porcine Plan, a census was carried out throughout the national territory, with which 8,031 pork producers were required, who will receive support in terms of infrastructure, financing and technical equipment. refers.
He reported that the survey yielded 108,000 reproductive mothers, 11,000 boars and 750,000 piglets.
“We have a plan, a program of progressive benefit to reach the month of December with national production and sell in the December holiday season, in open-air markets, the pork leg that the people needs”, said Maduro.
National Dairy Plan:
During the productive work meeting, the Dignitary indicated that the pertinent actions were initiated for the purpose of implementing the National Dairy Plan “to raise the production of liquid and powdered milk in a sustained manner”.
In this regard, the Minister of People’s Power for Productive Agriculture and Land, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, reported that a meeting was held with the eight milk powdering companies that exist in the country and the proposal was made to produce 1,836 tons of powder per month. made in the country, as a starting point.
We are talking, in addition, of a daily production in the country of approximately 6,300,000 liters, of which only 20% will go to the industrial sector.
