Chancellor Delcy Rodriguez announced that, by instructions of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, the country will participate in the OAS General Assembly, to be held in Cancun, Mexico, June 19-21.
“We will get there, by the hands of the peoples to defend Venezuela, we will arrive in Cancún to defend the rights of Venezuela”, said the head of the Foreign Ministry during a telephone contact made in the weekly program of the Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, “Con el Mazo Dando” (Hitting with the Hammer).
The Head of Venezuelan diplomacy reported that the countries that promoted a meeting to discuss Venezuela – an action that led to the withdrawal of the country from the multilateral body – have as their agenda an intervention plan for Venezuela promoted from the United States.
“The group of countries of the G-15 group arrived with their plan for intervention and tutelage to Venezuela, in order to seek a consensus, and the only consensus is that there is no consensus … there is no intervention, the moral voice was imposed, it was a Political battle”, said the minister in reference to the OAS meeting.
She expressed that the group of countries that promote actions against Venezuela “should feel frustrated, deeply frustrated because the OAS did not gave them the support they wanted, they were defeated, by positions worthy of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas (ALBA) and of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM)
