Former SEBIN director had been assimilated by the CIA to give a coup d'etat

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced on Friday that the former director of the Bolivarian Intelligence Service (SEBIN), Manuel Ricardo Cristopher Figuera, had been assimilated by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), in order to conspire and articulate the failed coup d’état of April 30:
“This general had been assimilated a year ago by the Central American Intelligence Agency (CIA)”, explained the Head of State, while denouncing that Figuera had acted since then as an infiltrator in all the positions he held in order to try to break security systems to later betray the Homeland.
In that sense, he assured that “sooner or later the Venezuelan justice will come” to those who try to break the national sovereignty.
He emphasized that although the US empire tries to overthrow the presiding system of government, the Venezuelan people will take to the streets to defend their emancipation, the riches of the country and the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez.
