AN approves in first discussion reform of the Organic Law of the Justice System

The National Assembly (AN) approved this Tuesday unanimously and in first discussion, the Draft Law for the Reform of the Organic Law of the Justice System.

Deputy Diosdado Cabello explained that this change in the law seeks to transform and correct the flaws that prevent justice from being applied effectively, and that the system self-regulate.

Cabello stressed that this proposal is made in the spirit that the justice system begins to function, “so that there is justice, and not based on individuals”.

In this regard, he asked all the deputies to join the debate that will serve “so that Venezuela has the best justice system to do justice and not for the interests of anyone”.

“It is a system with flaws”, he said, “which allows people to be run over by a mayor, using the police, following instructions from a businessman”, he said, referring to the illegal eviction of peasants in the Zamora municipality of Miranda state.

It is the system that does not work, that is why the guilty ones can be seen as victims. The system has to self-regulate, and that is a task of this AN”, he added during the presentation of the project.

He pointed out that after this law, the career laws and code of ethics of the officials who are part of the system will work, among two others.

Likewise, he explained that, as part of the actions undertaken by the AN, until recently there were about 40,000 people detained in temporary facilities, and with the judicial revolution in its first stage, more than 29,000 have been treated with alternative measures. and released in some cases.

The second phase, he underlined, made it possible to evaluate the body of laws and the third, the restructuring of the entities of the system such as the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).

He specified that to date they have approved 10 laws regarding this issue, such as the reform of the statute of the Investigative Police, the statute of the police function and the Organic Law of the TSJ.

For his part, the parliamentarian Oscar Romero, indicated that this process of changes in the justice system “is a reason for the country” and from the opposition bench they are committed to promoting it.

Through social networks, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, assured that this reform guarantees the administration of justice and equality between all, a really strong system. he described as especially important today’s session with the approval of the tenth law in the Venezuelan Legislative Power.

With the reform of the law of the Justice system, we reached the 10th law approved by the AN for the Judicial Revolution. Neither landlords nor robber bankers should try to distort equality before the law. Fair justice for everyone!”
