President Maduro proposes a summit between countries of the region

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, raised his proposal to hold a special summit with representatives of governments of Latin America and the Caribbean (Celac) in order to address common issues and to smooth things over between adverse political positions in the region.
From the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) in the act of swearing of what will be his second term, he said: “I have proposed on several occasions for a meeting of Presidents of Latin America and the Caribbean to be convened to discuss in an open agenda all the issues that we have to discuss face to face”, he said.
The Venezuelan leader highlighted and thanked the presence of 94 foreign representations between presidential delegations, social movements and progressive and left wing parties.
Also, the Venezuelan leader called on the president of Colombia, Ivan Duque, to meet “face to face, so he talks to me about Venezuela and I’ll talk to him about Colombia, about all the deaths of social leaders in the Neo Granadinean region”, he scolded.
In that same vein, the constitutional president declared that in the country there is a real, deep Venezuela, living in peace, living in happiness: “The world is much bigger than the US empire and its threats”, he said.
