JNE proposes elections for municipal councils for December

The National Electoral Board (JNE), raised before the National Electoral Council (CNE) that the elections to elect representatives to municipal councils should be held in the month of December this year in the country.

The JNE proposed the electoral schedule to the highest governing body, in order to set a date for Venezuelans to elect the different nominal and lists candidates for the municipal councils of the 335 electoral districts of the national territory, whose elections were rescheduled after considerations of a technical character that determined the electoral organism.

The last elections in this political-territorial area were held on December 8, 2013, in which were elected 2,523 municipal councilors.
