TSJ commemorates World Day Against Human Trafficking

Magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice participated in a conversatory on the subject of human trafficking, held at the facilities of the National Office Against Organized Crime and Financing of Terrorism (Oncdoft).

This participation is part of the guidelines given by the President of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Magistrate Maikel Moreno, to join efforts with other State institutions and thus optimize the administration of justice in the country.

Judge Elsa Janeth Gómez Moreno, vice-president of the Criminal Cassation Chamber and coordinator of the National Commission of Gender Justice of the Judiciary, participated in the activity on behalf of the TSJ, where she presented the topic: Human Trafficking.

This activity took place at the National Office Against Organized Crime and Financing of Terrorism whose participation is part of the July program of the National Office Against Organized Crime and Financing of Terrorism, in the framework of the commemoration of the World Day against Human Trafficking, proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 18, 2013.

The discussion also included the intervention of G/B Miguel Angel Gallegos Matos, head of Oncdoft, as well as representatives of the National School of Public Defense; the Argelia Laya Training School of the South; the Training Directorate of the General Directorate of Human Rights of the Ministry of People’s Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace.

Were also present the Coordination of International Affairs of the National Institute Against Racial Discrimination; the General Directorate of the National Women’s Institute and personnel representing the organizing entity.
