From the Government Palace, the Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, urged the people present in Communes and Social Movements this Thursday to preserve the path of true, real, direct and popular democracy to advance towards the construction of the Communal State.
Within the advances and in the direction of Socialism, the mechanisms of participation, grassroots leadership, and the capacity for self-government must be strengthened, focused on the idea of true and communal democracy, «motivating the apathetic, incorporating the critical, uniting everyone who can be united, compatriots and neighbors,» said the President.
He ratified his commitment to begin an accelerated phase to de-bureaucratize the State, the Government, the ministries, advancing in the government with the people and where the budget resources go directly to the communities, «it is a Revolution within the Revolution, these are the changes and transformations that Venezuela needs,» he said.
The Head of State proposes the construction of a new state that responds to the concept of a social State, of law, justice, of popular democracy under a new Government scheme, and for that the Communal Councils and Communes are fundamental, it is socialism in the territorial scope.
Once again he recalled the call for consultative elections on August 25 this year, for the projects of the 4,500 communal circuits, and later in November, to structure an election of this kind every three months, four per year.
For his part, the Minister of People’s Power for Communes and Social Movements, Ángel Prado, explained to the President that everything is ready for the high government institutions to join in after August 25 with resources and technical teams to support the execution of their projects with the people’s power.
He also said that in meetings with the National Electoral Council (CNE), several Ministries, the Federal Council of Government (CFG) and the People’s Power, the commission that promotes the August 25 elections was strengthened to later go for 4,500 more projects.
Finally, President Maduro reaffirmed his absolute faith in the strength of the people in the defense of «the most just and sacred cause that has ever been defended on this earth,» with the flag of our liberators and the sacred and undefeated legacy of Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez Frías.
