Head of State travels to Turkey to meet with the Islamic Community

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, informed that during the night of Monday, he departs for Istanbul, Turkey, to participate as President of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, a joint meeting to be held with 58 member countries of the Islamic Community.

“I have been invited as President of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, to evaluate everything that has to do with solidarity with the Arab people of Palestine before the aggression of the imperialist Government of Donald Trump and the attempt to impose Jerusalem as capital of Israel” , Said the Head of State from Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, where he led a work journey together with the international accompaniers of the last municipal elections.

He explained that during the meeting he will present the declaration of repudiation and solidarity with the Palestinian people, a document that was approved by 120 countries of the United Nations Organization.

“We love the Arab peoples, we love their stories, we believe in their history, ability, intelligence and courage over the centuries, and we know that sooner or later the solidarity and unity of our people will see a free Palestine, independent and of peace”, he emphasized.

He described the decision of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, as well as to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to that location, as “An irrational aggression, a real provocation and a declaration of war against the Palestinian people”.
