Voluntad Popular and Puente remain self-cancelled of renewal of political parties

The main rector of the National Electoral Council, Tania D’Amelio, informed through her account in the Twitter social network that the political parties Voluntad Popular and Puente are self-cancelled, after failing to attend the call for renewal of parties made by the CNE.

“The Voluntad Popular and Puente parties are self-cancelled, because by failing to comply with the call for renewal of matches made by the CNE they automatically decided to cancel their parties by failing to comply with the requirements of law, according to Art. 32, literal d) of the LPPRPM.”

She added that the electoral registry that will be handled for the presidential elections will be the most recent, updated on December 15, 2017, so the technical committee will rely on this document to set the date of the elections.
