Venezuela has 33 million hectares available for planting


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, said on Tuesday that there are 33 million hectares available in the country to be sown in the agricultural development, and the Revolution has been able to use up to date a 3 percent of this total.
“Let us go with our own efforts to ensure that everything we consume is produced in Venezuela,” said the Head of State during the broadcast of “Contacto con Maduro” (Contact with Maduro) No. 53, from Miraflores Palace.
Regarding the development of the agro-alimentary Motor in all its phases, he said that it will allow to overcome dependence and bad habits created in 100 years, to increase the domestic agricultural capacity and ensure that all foods that the people consume are produced in the country, with a view to export to Latin America and the Caribbean.
“We have an entire world (of things) to do, overcoming the issue of oil dependence, here there was an abandonment of the field culture and we have to rescue that, we have to take it up again with a great process of stimulus, of investment, of production plans”, said the President.
