Bolivarian Government plans to install 2,300 peace quadrants throughout Venezuela

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said Tuesday that as part of the relaunch of the Safe Homeland Plan it is expected to reach the goal of 2,300 peace quadrants throughout the entire national territory.

During the Security Council he led from Miraflores Palace in Caracas, the President explained that the peace quadrants: “Are the fundamental structure of the response to the construction of territorial peace, the liberation of our country from all this plague of crime, delinquency, paramilitarism, kidnapping, drug trafficking and homicide”.

The peace quadrants are divided into three phases: national, state and base, which will be directed by the General Staff, in charge of the Minister for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, Néstor Reverol Torres.

The quadrants will have the participation of the National Head of the National Bolivarian Police, as well as the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN); The communes, under the leadership of the Vice Presidency for Territorial Socialism; the National Structure for Security of the Bolivar-Chávez (UBCH) Battle Units, and the Francisco de Miranda Front.

“The peace quadrant is a permanent structural response of the new Venezuelan State, the social state and the People’s Power,” he added. In that sense, he urged public institutions, all communal councils and the Catholic and evangelical Church and the general population of the country to be protagonists of the peace quadrants, to face the difficulties that may arise.

“The people wants peace, security, that’s why I call on the whole family, you compatriot, we are going to build a Venezuela with peace quadrants that will give you security … we are going to free Venezuela from that plague of violence and the killing bands”, he said.
