Arrived in Venezuela 35.5 million new 500 bolivars bills


This Tuesday arrived the third plane from Stockholm with 35.5 million pieces of 500 bolivars bills, as part of the expansion of the national monetary cone.
The Vice President of the Central Bank of Venezuela, José Khan, received the 710 boxes at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, and reported that with this cargo a total of 60 million units of 500 bolivars banknotes is completed, which are already in the vaults of the BCV.
Khan reported that the Venezuelan Currency House is also making the new banknotes, and more than 7 million pieces of new denominations of coins (50 and 100 bolivars).
Last December 4, the Central Bank of Venezuela announced the entry into circulation of 3 new currencies: 10 bolivars, 50 bolivars and 100 bolivars. While the new bills will be 500 bolivars, 1,000 bolivars, 2,000 bolivars, 5,000 bolivars, 10,000 bolivars and 20,000 bolivars.
