The latest study published by the Hinterlaces poll firm indicates a broad national consensus supporting bilateral rapprochement and economic cooperation between Venezuela and the United States.
According to the survey released on September 7, 91% of respondents consider the dialogue and negotiation process between the two nations as positive.
Regarding the oil sector, the results reflect categorical support for the recent alliance signed by the Venezuelan state with the North American country—a measure approved by 82% of the population.
Likewise, 88% of citizens expressed agreement with statements made by President Delcy Rodríguez, who noted that «having oil underground is not enough; and investment and technology are needed to generate wealth for Venezuelans.»
Likewise, Hinterlaces highlights that 81% of Venezuelans support the national government in safeguarding sovereignty over oil reserves, while the private sector provides the capital and technology necessary for production.
Lastly, the poll shows that 87% of the population views as positive the foreign policy adopted by Venezuela on its relations with the US, through the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace that has allowed to transform the historic confrontation between the nations into a cooperative relationship aimed at mutual benefit.
