High-Level meeting between Venezuela and the UN strengthens bilateral cooperation

Within the framework of the international diplomatic agenda, the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, held a high-level meeting with the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, Tatiana Valovaya, with the aim of strengthening multilateral cooperation.

Through his official channel on Telegram, the head of Venezuelan diplomacy described the meeting as a significant step in relations with the international organization:

“It has been a true honor to meet with Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva,” he manifested.

Gil noted that during the meeting they held a dialogue regarding the urgent need to forge alliances between peoples that promote peace, human rights, understanding, and the collective well-being.

The Venezuelan diplomat emphasized the importance of point 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), which seeks to strengthen international cooperation.

This approach aims to enable governments, the private sector and the civil society to collaborate jointly for sustainable development, which reaffirms the commitment of the Bolivarian nation to global integration mechanisms to address present and future challenges.
