In a testament to a personal and political commitment, Acting President Delcy Rodríguez recounted the difficulty of holding direct meetings with those who were responsible for violent acts against loved ones and against the heroes of the Homeland. She explained that this personal sacrifice is a necessary step to consolidate the sovereignty and independence inherited from the Liberators, always placing the well-being of the Nation above individual suffering.
The Acting President emphasized that these dialogue efforts seek to protect the future of the Venezuelan youth, the main driving force behind national reconstruction.
By recalling that in episodes of political confrontation “all of us Venezuelans lost,” she urged the union of the entire country to safeguard the current process of coexistence: “For our children and for the future; our compass is peace,” she concluded.
