Government denies alleged project of Constitutional Reform proposed from the Executive branch

The Venezuelan government denied on Wednesday, June 17, the fake news regarding the alleged presentation to the National Assembly (AN) of a bill to promote a reform of the Bolivarian Constitution under instructions of the Executive Branch.

According to a post on the “Miraflores Al Momento” account on X, the information was disseminated by the «La Derecha Diario” website.

According to the aforementioned media outlet, the reform bill was allegedly presented by the Secretary General of the Accion Democratica party, Bernabé Gutiérrez, supposedly «following orders of the President in Charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.»

Furthermore, the publication details that the legal instrument proposes, among other things, the elimination of indefinite reelection and the return of a bicameral Congress.
