Acting President invited the Diplomatic Corps to bring the truth of Venezuela to the world

The Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, this Thursday during the 2026 Annual Address to the Nation, invited the accredited Diplomatic Corps to bring the truth of Venezuela to the world:

“I want to ask the ambassador men and women, chargés d’affaires, and diplomatic representatives to transmit to their capital cities and to the world the truth of Venezuela, after an armed aggression from a nuclear power, one as anything our history has ever seen,” she emphasized.

The Acting President noted that while this aggression was unprecedented, the historical contradictions between Monroeism and Bolivarianism are not: “Our contradictions—the dispute between James Monroe and Simón Bolívar—are historical. Since 1817, 1818, and 1819, the stigmatization of the ruler of Gran Colombia, Simón Bolívar, was a constant on the part of the then-government of the United States,” she detailed.

She asserted that the Monroe Doctrine seeks the imperialist territorial expansion in this hemisphere, while Bolivarianism pursues liberation from colonialism: “These are absolutely contradictory and divergent geopolitical and political visions”, while urging the Venezuelans not to fear disagreements, since she considers they strengthen the country and demonstrate the solidity of the national identity.
