Acting President Delcy Rodríguez: “The economic development of Venezuela must be integral”

In a territorial deployment held from the Admiral Lino de Clemente Commune, located in La California Norte (Caracas), the Acting President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led a work journey to strengthen the popular economic development, highlighting on the imperative need to consolidate a productive model that definitively breaks with dependence on oil rent.

Rodríguez highlighted the success of the First National Meeting of the Communal Economy, qualifying it as a milestone for the country’s sovereignty, since it lays the foundation for the economic development in an integral manner:

“We have to break with the model of the rentist economy. We will reserve oil rent for the Venezuelan people, to provide social services and protection to the Venezuelan people and for the services our people need,” emphasized the Dignitary.

Towards the communal economic development:

The Acting President emphasized that economic development must be given in an integral manner through the various productive engines conceived by the Executive, prioritizing the strategic substitution of imports. In this regard, she announced the upcoming realization of the First National Meeting of the Entrepreneurship Economy and the Communal Economy, seeking to unify the efforts of local producers with the communal sector.

“It is the economy that emerges from the people, directly in the territory; for us to guarantee in the territory food, services, directly from the communities, from the citizens as a whole body. The economic development of Venezuela must be integral; (we must) develop the great potential that our country possesses,” she reiterated.
