Venezuela presents «Gran Misión Vuelta a la Patria» at a global forum in Geneva

Mervin Maldonado, head of the «Gran Misión Vuelta a la Patria” (Great Mission Return to the Homeland), presented the scope of this public policy at the 2026 Global Impact Evaluation Forum, held at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

During the meeting, developed with representatives from international agencies such as UNHCR, OCHA, UNICEF, the World Food Programme, and the International Organization for Migrations, were evaluated protocols, investment frameworks, statistics, and achievements aimed at ensuring the safe return of the nationals.

«We assessed the context, public policy, system and protocols, investment, gathered evidence, statistics, achievements, challenges, and above all the human value, in order to continue guaranteeing a safe and sustainable return,» stated Maldonado via social media.

The high official also highlighted that the Venezuelan delegation received international recognition for the work carried out through the «Gran Misión Vuelta a la Patria» and offered to the global body the experience gained during the implementation of this social program.
