The President of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, held a videoconference with representatives of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) aimed at strengthening diplomacy, addressing matters of legislative interest, and solidifying international cooperation ties between the Venezuelan Parliament and delegations from the multilateral body’s member countries.
During the meeting, was highlighted the recognition of the Venezuelan parliament’s institutional legitimacy for the 2026–2031 legislative term. Additionally, the parties assessed the active reintegration of the National Assembly into this international body, created in 1889, which brings together parliaments from around the world to promote dialogue and mutual understanding.
The head of the Legislative Branch announced via his Telegram channel that these actions are part of a renewed effort to boost the National Assembly’s international representation, aiming to consolidate direct communication and collaborative work in spaces of global exchange.
