Venezuela strengthens strategic alliances for natural gas exports

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the importance of consolidating Phase 2 of the gas project in the Loran Field, which integrates the companies British Petroleum, XRG, and UCC, adding to the joint efforts that are already underway in the first stage:

«Phase 1 is shared with Shell, another giant in the gas sector, and Phase 2 involves these three important companies: British Petroleum, XRG of the United Arab Emirates, and UCC of Qatar, which are joining this joint effort to produce gas in Venezuela and export it,» explained the Head of State.

During the signing of important energy agreements with international consortiums, marking a milestone in the country’s gas development, the National Dignitary indicated that this strategic collaboration reinforces the Venezuelan State’s commitment to boosting its productive capacity through foreign investment.

The President expressed her deep gratitude to both the participating companies and their respective governments for the confidence placed in Venezuela’s potential. Rodríguez emphasized that this collaborative effort is fundamental to consolidating the necessary infrastructure to enable not only the extraction but also the efficient export of gas.

The central purpose of this initiative is for Venezuelan energy to act as an engine of regional well-being. By crossing borders, the gas produced in Venezuela seeks to strengthen energy cooperation with sister nations and other allied countries.
