Was installed high-level commission for the release of President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Woman Cilia Flores

Under the direction of Acting President Delcy Rodríguez, it was formally installed the High-Level Commission to manage and coordinate all necessary actions to achieve the release of the Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and the First Lady, Cilia Flores.

The announcement was made by the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, who will head this delegation. During a declaration at Miraflores Palace, Rodríguez assured that the commission will not rest in its efforts: “Everything we can do we will do, and beyond. Our capabilities will be invested in this process, which is nothing more than the pursuit of justice and the consolidation of peace in Venezuela and in the world.”

Members that make the Commission:

The commission is comprised of high-ranking institutional figures and, in a significant manner, by direct family members of the president and the first lady, which reflects the integral and humanitarian nature of the efforts.

The members are:

– Jorge Rodríguez, President of the National Assembly and Head of the Dialogue and Peace Processes.

– Yván Gil, Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

– Freddy Ñáñez, Sectoral Vice President for Communication and Culture.

– Camilla Fabri, Vice Minister for International Communication.

– Nicolás Maduro Guerra, National Assembly Deputy and son of President Maduro.

– Juan Escalona, ​​National Assembly Deputy.

– Reinaldo Muñoz, Solicitor General of the Republic.

– Larry Devoe, Lawyer.

Also was confirmed the active participation of Yosser Daniel Gavidia Flores and Yoswal Gavidia Flores, sons of the First Combatant Woman; who will accompany the efforts in representation of the family.

The commission will be responsible for articulating actions at the national and international levels to denounce the kidnapping of the head of state and his wife and to advance in all necessary diplomatic, legal, and political efforts to achieve their swift return to Venezuela.

The president of the National Assembly conveyed a message of hope and determination: “Sooner rather than later, the smile of the presidential couple will shine again. In this Valley that they love so much, we will have them back with us to melt together in an embrace.”
