BID prevé primer desembolso de 2.000 millones de dólares para Venezuela

Venezuela will receive an initial $2 billion disbursement from IDB

Venezuela will receive between late October and early November 2026 an initial disbursement of $2 billion from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as part of a financing program that includes loans totaling $12 billion for the country.

The resources will be allocated to the social area, including the payment of bonuses and support for the health and education sectors. The disbursement schedule and the intended use of the funds were disclosed unofficially by *Bitácora Económica* (Economic Schedule) and reported by national media outlets.

The financing plan contemplates a second disbursement of $2 billion in early 2027, according to the published information. These funds are part of the process of restoring financial relations between Venezuela and the multilateral institution following a hiatus of several years.
