The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, ratified the validity of the talks with the United States and the subscribed oil agreement, stating that the National Executive assumes dialogue a fundamental instrument for reactivating the national economy under the premise of safeguarding absolute control over energy resources.
«One thing must be absolutely clear: Venezuela retains ownership and sovereignty over its resources while using capital, technology, and operational capacity to leverage the recovery of a strategic industry severely impacted by sanctions,» as pointed out the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, in a message to the nation.
Within this context, the trade agreement possesses a validity of 25 years, a term during which the country will channel foreign investment into advanced technology to revitalize the hydrocarbons sector, while maintaining sovereignty over its national wealth.
This message was shared during the address where she explained to the nation the details of the historic Energy Agreement reached with the United States Government, which includes the development of 17 strategic oil fields.
In this regard, the Head of State emphasized that «Venezuelans have the right to know how much is being invested, how much is being produced, how much the State receives, and what the conditions are for the operators.»
«And the objective of developing them must be to ensure that this wealth is once again transformed into production, opportunities, well-being and a future for our country. That is everyone’s commitment. A Venezuela that is reborn to improve the lives of each Venezuelan,» she affirmed.
