Venezuela reaches 21 consecutive quarters of economic growth

Venezuela has reached 21 consecutive quarters of economic growth and expects the trend to continue for the benefit of its citizens. Thus was announced last Sunday by the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.

The Head of State, in declarations given to Venezolana de Televisión during the inauguration of a Mercal food store in San Martín, Caracas, stated: «We’ve had already 21 consecutive quarters of growth. But what I aspire to is that we can improve the income of our workers so they can continue to have access, further boosting the economy dynamics as we are doing, and to jointly have integral policies so that the economy grows to benefit the people.»

It is worth noting that the Vice President for Productive Economy, Calixto Ortega, indicated in recent days that Venezuela was showing a positive activity, which «will mark the 21st quarter of growth.»

«This productivity of the country is reflected in household consumption,» Ortega added, while explaining that «massive data is used to make this measurement. We use 100% of the transactions that Venezuelans make with card payments (…) we are talking about billions of transactions, and this data shows us significant growth» since 2024.
