Venezuela and Europe agree to advance to a new stage of dialogue and strategic cooperation

The Bolivarian Government and the diplomatic corps of the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland agreed on Monday in Caracas on the need to advance to a stage of productive relations and in-depth dialogue.

During a meeting described as frank and cordial, Venezuelan Chancellor Yván Gil, accompanied by the Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, the President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, and the Minister of People’s Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, reviewed the state of bilateral ties with the aim of strengthening cooperation in strategic sectors such as energy, education, science, and the pharmaceutical industry.

This meeting allowed to reaffirm the will of the Bolivarian Government to build a work agenda that prioritizes the common good and mutual respect among nations. The Chancellor emphasized that the intention is to open channels of communication, supported on the historical ties that unite Venezuela with European communities.

To this regard, he highlighted: “Within the framework of respect, within the framework of the equality of States, we are willing to advance in a new agenda, an intense work agenda for the well-being of both peoples.”

Finally, the National Executive assured that this rapprochement marks the beginning of a phase of integral construction and cooperation that will benefit all parties involved.
