With profound pride and patriotic fervor, the “Simón Bolívar” Training Ship returns to the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, marking the successful conclusion of its most recent training cruise abroad.
The iconic sailing vessel, internationally known as the “Ambassador Without Borders,” returns to the national territory after navigating for two-month and 26 days through the Caribbean Sea.
This journey included official visits to the ports of Cuba, Mexico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, and Dominica, nations where the ship served as a floating classroom for the technical and human development of future officers of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
Military Doctrine and Sovereignty on the High Seas:
A publication from the Ministry of People’s Power for Defense highlighted the crew’s impeccable performance during the voyage: «The young military personnel, men and women forged with the same mettle as the liberators, return home after fulfilling their mission with the utmost precision: to carry the art, culture, and indomitable spirit of the Venezuelan people to every port in the Caribbean, defying winds and currents.»
A Symbol of Peace and Diplomacy:
Throughout its voyage, the ship not only tested the seamanship of its cadets but also fulfilled its role of diplomatic representation, thereby strengthening ties of friendship and solidarity with the peoples visited.
This naval deployment reaffirms the unwavering commitment of the FANB to operational excellence and the comprehensive training of its cadets. On the decks of the glorious sailing ship is forged the indomitable character of the future officers, men and women of the sea who will honorably guard national sovereignty and the sacred legacy of the liberators of the Homeland.
