The President of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, met this Tuesday with Harriet Thompson, the Director for the Americas at the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
Rodríguez reported, via social media, that in this meeting —which was held in the UK—were addressed topics such as political dialogue in Venezuela and the advances achieved by the country regarding oil and gas investment.
Likewise, he noted that they explained to the official how these advances in dialogue and oil investments could lead to significant and rapid economic growth for Venezuela.
The statements made by the parliamentarian—who was accompanied by the Venezuelan Chancellor, Félix Plasencia—were shared on digital platforms by the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, along with a message of appreciation.
«I thank Dr. Jorge Rodríguez, President of the National Assembly, for his efforts and initiatives in favor of resuming diplomatic relations between Venezuela and the United Kingdom, during his recent visit to that country,» noted the Head of State.
