During a tour of the Valmy Cosmetics production plant, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted that the policy of improving wages has allowed that «our workers’ income increased by 50% this year,» asserting that the country’s economic strengthening translates directly into tangible benefits for the workforce sector.
During her intervention, the dignitary reaffirmed that «workers’ income must always be over the GDP. Workers need to truly see the benefits of this path.» This effort is reflected in indicators of well-being and domestic consumption: «between 2025 and 2026, consumption grew by 25%. These are figures that allow us to attend that we are on the right track.»
In order to consolidate these achievements, the President noted the recent participatory meeting: «Just yesterday, we held a social dialogue involving business sectors, union representatives, and the national government to deal with the labor consensus that provide better benefits for our workers, both in the public and private sectors.»
In this regard, she reiterated that «every agreement signed must entail the recovery of jobs, benefits, recover the worker’s income, and also most importantly for us to be able to recover vital infrastructure of public services regarding electricity.»
