The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led the signing ceremony for the Agreeents for the Transfer of Participation in Phase II of the Exploration and Production License for Non-Associated Gaseous Hydrocarbons in the Lorán Field, corresponding to Block 2 of the Deltan Platform, with three major transnational companies.
The event included the formalization of the authorization by the Minister of People’s Power for Hydrocarbons, Paula Henao, to PDVSA Gas, in order to proceed with the transfer of participation to the licensee companies BP Exploration (Caribbean), XRG P.J.S.C., and UCC Oil and Gas Holding LLC.
Representing British Petroleum (BP) were CEO Meg O’Neill; The Vice President of New Gas Opportunities, Samantha Hayes; the Senior Vice President of BP Latin America and the Caribbean, David Campbell; the Vice President of New Gas Opportunities, Samantha Martin; the Principal Legal Advisor of BP for Latin America and the Caribbean, Oresa Charles; and the Country Manager for Venezuela, Luisa Cipollitti.
Representing XRG P.J.S.C., from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is the Director of Business Development, International Gas, Addulla Sami Alshamsi. And representing UCC Oil and Gas Holding LLC, from Qatar, is Director Erik Keskula.
The Venezuelan delegation accompanying the Head of State is represented by the Minister of People’s Power for Hydrocarbons, Paula Henao; the Vice Minister for Gas, Cindy Rondón; and the President of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Héctor Obregón. The Executive Vice President of Petróleos de Venezuela, Jovanny Martínez; and the Vice President of Gas of PDVSA, Jannier Viloria.
