President Maduro: Mercosur countries have acted illegally and unfairly

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced this Saturday that the Governments of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay have acted in an illegal and very unjust way against Venezuela in order to suspend it from Mercosur.
“They have not given us the right to defend Venezuela. We have been tried and convicted and have been found guilty without any right to defense. Thus I tell the Governments of Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina. They have acted unfairly, disproportionately, illegally, very unfairly, “said the Head of State from the White Palace in Caracas, where he participated in a meeting of the National Council of Productive Economics.
At the same time he highlighted that, in contrast with some countries that have just met 70 percent of the Mercosur rules, Venezuela has met a 95 percent.
In that sense, he emphasized that the Venezuelan Government will show the truth about the Coup d’ Etat that these countries have imposed on Venezuela.
“We will not be ousted from Mercosur by nobody, and we will appeal to all international levels and when they convene for Mercosur there I will be … taking the voice of Venezuela and our truth, because this has been an unfair, illegal decision promoted by the Venezuelan right wing”, he said.
Last Thursday, Brazilian officials announced that Venezuela must withdraw from Mercosur because it did not meet the fundamental requirements, such as economic, human rights and immigration agreements in the bloc.
