«The revolutionary project came to refound the Republic, to return to the Fatherland not only hope, but political power», emphasized the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, at the beginning of his address, in the Act of Memory and Account and Presentation of the Homeland Plan 2019-2025, in a national radio and television joint broadacst.
The President reviewed all the events that have characterized the constitutional period that ends.
He recalled that 2018 was a year of extraordinary challenges, of obstacles, of systematic sabotage by the enemy of the people: «Who have removed their masks by means of sanctions, blackmail, threats and aggressions against our country and our economy, against our industry oil company».
During the formal ceremony, Maduro said he is called to present the report and account of 2018 as required by the Constitution, second, to present the Homeland Plan, and third, a set of very important announcements for all our people.
For the set of announcements, he asked the people of Venezuela for maximum understanding, attention and support so that «everything that will be announced here becomes a reality», based on the Socialism of the 21st Century.
«What we thank with words, we must honor with actions, and January is a month of action, the month in which endurance becomes recovery and wisdom», said the Venezuelan head of state.
