COMMUNIQUÉ
The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Government and the Venezuelan people, expresses his fraternal and warm congratulations to the Government and People of Barbados on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of their independence.
WE The sons and daughters of Simón Bolívar and Hugo Chávez celebrated together with the brotherly Barbadian people on this patriotic date, highlighting our desire to continue working together in favor of unity and integration among the peoples of the Latin-Caribbean Great Homeland.
We also join the struggle that started the Rebellion of Bussa to conquer freedom and abolish slavery, starting the road to emancipation.
Once again, we reiterate our congratulations to that sisterly nation and express our commitment to continue strengthening our relationships based on unity, equality, dignity, brotherhood and complementarity through the most broadest and solidarity cooperation.
We also call to remain strengthened and continue overcoming obstacles as we have been doing in these last years of struggle for an increasingly safe, peaceful, dignified and equal Latin American and Caribbean region.
Long live the union of our peoples!
Long live Barbados!
