Maduro remembered José Antonio Anzoátegui: A faithful man to the struggle for the Homeland


This November 14 marks the 227th anniversary of the birth of the Venezuelan hero José Antonio Cayetano de la Trinidad Anzoátegui Hernández, who was Head of the Guard of Honor of the Liberator Simón Bolívar , A faithful man to the struggle for the Homeland, whose example remains present, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
In his Facebook account, the Head of State published:
“We remember this Monday Jose Antonio Anzoátegui, Eastern Commander of the Patriot Army and Head of the Guard of Honor of our Liberator Simón Bolívar, born in the city of Barcelona, on November 14, 1789.”
He highlighted, since very young, in the patriotic cause, based on the loyalty to the Liberator; he achieved heroic military feats, which allowed him to quickly ascend to the rank of Division General.
Although the light of his life was shut at the age of 30, just as he had reached them, his memory as a man faithful to the struggle for the Fatherland remains present and is an example for all of us.
