Maduro urged mayors and governors to abide by Supreme Court ruling on 2017 Budget

The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, on Tuesday urged the mayors and governors of the country to abide by the judgment of the Supreme Court of Justice on the Sovereign Budget for 2017, for the regions to receive the approved budget items.
He noted that 20 Governors and 270 Bolivarian Nayors signed to support that budget. He also said that those who do not respect the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic will not be acknowledged.
He noted that the Vice President of the Republic, Aristobulo Isturiz, will welcome in his office to the Governors and Mayors who are still pending to sign, stressing that will be taken the appropriate actions regarding those who do not.
Meanwhile, Isturiz said that he has already talked with some of them, and also pointed out that none of these governors can enter in contempt of the Supreme Court, since they will have the same treatment that has been given to the current National Assembly which is not in accordance with the law.
“They want to agree, and we are waiting,” said the Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
This was made known during the broadcast of the weekly program “Contacto con Maduro” (Contact with Maduro) held from the Catia Theater in Caracas.
