Chancellor assures Washington led attempted coup d'état

The threats made by the US National Security Advisor, John Bolton, against the President of the Supreme Court of Justice, Maikel Moreno, the Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, and the General Director of Military Counterintelligence, Iván Hernández, on the same day that the attempted coup against the Government of President Nicolás Maduro took place, show that Washington was leading this action.
This pointing was made by the Chancellor of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza, on his official Twitter account – @ jaarreaza-: “Washington is not behind the coup, it is ahead of it, it is leading it, planning and executing it at every step”, he wrote.
Arreaza referred to the recent statements made by members of the US government, which in his opinion prove what has been denounced by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela since January 26 in the (UNs) Security Council.
Bolton, who took over the White House spokesmanship on April 30, said to Venezuelan high officials in a threatening tone: “Your time is up. This is your last chance. Accept interim president Guaido’s amnesty, protect the Constitution and remove Maduro, and we will take you off our sanctions list. Stay with Maduro, and go down with the ship”.

“The recent statements and actions of the members of the US government verify what we have been affirming since January 26 in the Security Council: Washington is not behind the coup, it is ahead of it, it is leading it, planning and executing it at every step”
