During his “Contacto con Maduro” (Contact with Maduro) program, broadcast this Tuesday from the Catia Theater in Caracas, the Venezuelan Head of State said he has complied with the judgment issued by the Supreme Tribunal of Justice (TSJ)¡ regarding the 2017 Sovereign Budget.
That judgment states that the budget must be presented by the President of the Republic directly to the Supreme Court, under the rules of Decree which will have a rank and force of law before the constitutional contempt that keeps the opposition majority in the National Assembly (AN), regarding the decisions of the judiciary power.
“It has been given me a clear mandate and I have abided by, I asked the support of the people and I thank you for the support shown in the mobilization of today”, he said.
He noted that the self-dissolving Assembly may not put their hands in this sentence (…) “I am complying with, and enforcing the Constitution, and we will not allow anyone to interfere in the constitutional development of our country”.
The National President stressed that there will come a day “When the Venezuelan people, with a single voice, will go and retrieve the NA, sooner rather than later”.
