Isturiz on the NA: In Venezuela there is a power rebelled in contempt

“In Venezuela there is not a confrontation of powers, there is a power that has rebelled against the other powers.” A National Assembly that has been given themselves the task of usurping, ignoring or flouting the decision of the other branches of Government, in order to create an atmosphere of confrontation and to justify a foreign intervention.
The statement was made by the Vice President of the Republic, Aristobulo Isturiz, during the “Dando y Dando-Radio” (Taking and Giving-Radio) program, lead by journalist Tania Diaz, through the signal of the RNV Informative channel and Radio Miraflores.
“When the opposition won on December 6 and took office in January, they thought they had the entire power, they never understood that they were in front of one of the five powers and that among the five (powers) they must agree in order to make the country work. The Constitution establishes the principle of cooperation of powers, each power has a role, and none of them can usurp the function of any other, they have to work in harmony. “
