He stressed that “if one signs up for a competition, he has to respect the referee, it is the ABC of any competition.”
He highlighted that this is an “anti-guarimba (anti-rioting) signing, because there are those who like to use electoral processes, to prepare for violence, to cry fraud. Furthermore, the head of state and presidential candidate expressed that the document that has been signed has «values and I tell the people of Venezuela, let’s take care of peace, today we have taken an important step to take care of peace.»
Likewise, he reiterated that the signing of this document is in perfect line with the Barbados document, the Caracas Dialogue, and is now the document of the electoral referee: “I call on all Venezuelans to support this agreement and to respect the electoral referee and make his word sacred. «Venezuela wants tranquility to continue its economic and social recovery.»
