Venezuela will develop a popular starring role with the pro-tempore presidency over the next three years, the period from 2016 to 2019, said this Saturday the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, after assuming the command of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries (NAM).
“I thank, on behalf of the people, of the Liberators, of Simon Bolivar and the people of Commander Hugo Chavez. Rest assured that this command you have given us will be used with firmness and loyalty to the cause of our peoples”, said Maduro.
During the meeting of Heads of State and Government of the 17th Summit which takes place in the “Hugo Chavez” Convention Center in Margarita, Nueva Esparta state, adding that the plenary took place in Margarita island in honor of the 200th anniversary of the historical events led by Simon Bolivar.
