Expanded Council of Productive Economy meets in Miraflores


The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Aristobulo Isturiz, met this Wednesday with the Expanded Council of Productive Economy, as part of the efforts undertaken by the Government of President Nicolas Maduro to fight the economic warfare that is affecting the Venezuelan people.
In this activity, which takes place at Miraflores Palace, are present the President of the Central Bank of Venezuela, Nelson Merentes, the Vice President for Economic Area, Miguel Perez Abad, the Minister of Petroleum and Mining, Eulogio del Pino, as well as businessmen and representatives of other ministerial portfolios.
The National Council of Productive Economy was installed on January 19 this year by the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, to promote measures that would allow to overcome the economic situation of the country, that is living a downfall of a 75% in the price of oil -the main national income- accented with an economic warfare that attacks the currency and which distorts the production and distribution of staple items, mostly manufactured by the private sector.
