Created high-level commission for the development of agreements between Venezuela and Iran

The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, announced on Saturday the creation of a Technical High-Level Commission Venezuela-Iran, which will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all bilateral agreements signed between the two countries.
“We have agreed to appoint a special Technical Commission for monitoring and enforcement of the economic and trade agreements that we are moving forward,” said the Head of State.
The Venezuelan delegation on this committee will consist of the new Deputy Minister for Asia and Oceania, Felix Placencia, the coordinator of this instance, the Vice Minister for Oil, Mauricio Herrera, and by the Vice Minister for Industry and Trade, which will be appointed by the Minister in this instance, Carlos Farias.
The President urged the competent authorities to the “realization of new opportunities for economic and technological development” to strengthen the ties of bilateral cooperation.
The Head of State also noted that at the meeting with the Chancellor of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif, they spoke of the importance of finalizing the consensus among oil producing countries to allow the stability of oil prices, that since the end of June 2014 remain on the downside, which is the longest cycle of low prices that has occurred over the last 45 years.
“We continue to build common criteria and a new consensus to stabilize the market, to strengthen our industries, to strengthen the OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries), to strengthen the approach and the alliances with non-OPEC producer countries”, he said.
The next meeting that will hold the 14 members of OPEC will be made between September 26 and 28 in Algeria, in order to promote the stabilization of the oil market and the recovery of the amount by which the black gold is traded.
