The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, delivered the first ingot that is part of the first ton of gold that will enter the vaults of the Central Bank of Venezuela this 2025:
“We are already making, under the most structured international standards, the gold ingots for our national and international reserves. No one will be able to stop us,” stated the head of state.
The delivery represents a commitment by the Bolivarian Government to strengthen the national reserves and a response to the economic difficulties the country has faced in recent years.
The head of state emphasized that this ingot has been processed by the Venezuelan working class of Guayana, and therefore urged the continued integration of all elements and components of the country’s mining development.
The Venezuelan president also noted that Guayana is the epicenter of mineral wealth, due to its great potential for development in iron, steel, and aluminum, and the world’s largest gold reserve.
In this regard, he called for the development of mining operations through strict ecological measures that allow for environmental preservation, in addition to safeguarding the Venezuelan areas protected by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), in support of the defense of the preserved areas of national parks, rivers, and lakes.
Mining Engine Initiative:
The Mining Engine is an initiative that seeks to revitalize the country’s mining sector, serving as a fundamental pillar of Venezuela’s economic and social development. One of the President’s goals was for Venezuela to have its own gold reserves.
Along these lines, the President added that there are 13 engines that have their own structure, strength, technology, and perfect coordination between private and public capital, as well as the strength of the Venezuelan working class:
«Nothing and no one will derail us, because we have found the path to a self-sustaining economy, on the path to the country’s development,» the President emphasized.
